ABOUT COMIIC
We are pleased to announce that the 7th Commercialization, Innovation and i-IDeA Competition (ComiiC 2025) will be held on 1st to 4th September 2025.
ComiiC is a platform for students to deliver their innovative ideas which may have the potential to be commercialized and contribute to the development of the nation. The main aim of the competition is to train students' confidence in conveying their research and innovative ideas to both professional and general audience.

RULES & REGULATIONS
- PRESENTATION METHODS
Live (Online Pitch). - LANGUAGE
Pitcher/pitchers can use Malay or English language during the pitch. - PITCHER
Minimum number of pitcher is 1, maximum number of pitcher is 3. - TIME
Total time Pitching and Q&A sessions is 10 minutes.
- Pitching Session
- The time allocated for each pitcher is 7 minutes ONLY.
- First bell (one time) – notification at the minutes of 5.
- Second bell (2 times) – notification end of pitching which is at the minutes of 7.
- Q & A session
- The time allocated for Q&A session from the judges is 3 minutes ONLY.
- First bell (one time) – notification at the minutes of 2.
- Second bell (2 times) – notification end of Q&A session which is at the minutes of 3
- PRESENTATION AIDS
All presenters are NOT allowed to bring any kind of presentation aids (i.e.
notes/paper/tablet/slides/video/product). If so, marks will be deducted.
THE DECISION OF THE JUDGES ARE FINAL AND NO DISPUTES OR APPEALS WILL BE ENTERTAINED
PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
All entries must comply with the following guidelines:

Payment fee is not negotiable.
-
Once the registration has been accepted, the participant is obliged to pay the total amount of fee.
-
The group who WITHDRAWS their participation after the last registration date must pay the whole amount of the invoiced fee.
-
The following exhibits are not accepted for this competition:
-
A pitch which is a duplication of others.
-
A pitch which may provoke public’s sensitivity or may contain values that are in contrary to moral and public health and welfare.
-
A pitch which may be a subject matter of any Intellectual Property (IP) disputes or contentions.

The entry form (together with abstract) should be submitted to i-IDeA 2025 organizers by 2025. (Any extension of registration date will be updated in this website).

Once the entry form has been accepted and the registration is confirmed by the committee, the group is obliged to pay the total amount of fees within the allocated timeframe. Please refer to i-IDeA 2025 website for further details on payment method.

All details or files submitted in the entry form (including abstract) are accepted as they are. The i-IDeA 2025 organizers will not be responsible for any errors in the translation or wording of descriptions published in the programme book or in the e-proceedings (if any).

The organizers will also not be responsible for any loss, theft, damage (due to fire or other causes) or personal injury suffered during or after the exhibition or in transit.

The participants should further agree to release and acquit the organizers for all actions, causes of actions, claims or damages of whatever kind, including the negligence of the organizers arising out of participation in this program.

The decisions of the panel of judges for the competition are final. The panel of judges or the members or the organizers are not liable in respect of any matters which arise from or connected to the results or conduct in organizing the competition.
